The Cannon iR4600 photo copier system delivers high image quality, high speed output for departmental printing and copying. This multifunctional role eliminates the need for dedicated machines, reducing investment outlay. It also offers greater flexibility for printing on different paper sizes, complete with finishing.

Superior Image Quality
The iR 4600 system offers 46ppm otuput speed with 256-level grayscale support. Taking image quality to the next level, it incorporates innovative image enhancement technologies to deliver an amazing interpolated printing resolution of 2400 x 600dpi.

DIGITAL FUNCTIONS
With a wide range of digital functions available, users can customise jobs to suit their precise
needs. For example, when copying from books, it is possible to select the facing pages (either left/right or front/back). Other features include chapter page insertion and a printed photo mode for removing the moiré pattern from printed photos.

Personal Image Server
It is possible to scan and store existing, hard copy documents onto the iR hard disk, using the Personal Image Server. These scanned documents are stored in a personal mailbox and can then be merged with documents processed on a PC. Thus creating a completely new document from two different sources.

100 CONFIDENTIAL MAILBOXES
Up to 100 personal mailboxes can be allocated, each with a private password. This allows users to store all sensitive documents securely - and print multiple documents at a later date, when required. Contents remain confidential, without mixing pages with other output on delivery.

Chip Embedded Controller
The high performance iR controller handles all the system's functions seamlessly, managing PDL pages, RIP, network and engine control. The important advantage of this network ready MFP is that it ensures enterprises benefit from an optimum price/performance ratio.

Full, Flexible Finishing
When the iR 4600 copier system is configured only with an output tray, the image memory allows convenient electronic collation, with cross collated sets. A Finisher F1 is available offering a high output capacity of 2000 sheets - in sorted, grouped or stapled mode. Up to 50 sheets can be stapled in a single set.

AUTO IMPOSITION
When it comes to creating booklets, auto imposition is an essential feature. The copy memory carries out the imposition so that duplex booklets, complete with V-folds, are always stapled and delivered with pages in the right order. Another useful feature is image rotation, ensuring correct format reduction of A3 sizes to A4.

MAXIMUM 2400 X 600 DPI
A 600 x 600 dpi resolution, with 256 gradation levels, is increased by smoothing to an interpolated 2400 x 600 dpi when printing. This ensures sharp text and clear graphics, capturing every detail without any drop in image quality. Delivering consistently high quality and constant reliability.

20 GB HARD DRIVE
The iR4600N system has a powerful 20 GB hard drive that offers a variety of time-saving features for printing and copying purposes. These include a Copy Job Reservation capacity, auto imposition for easier booklet creation and a Personal Image Server that enables direct document merging.

FAST 46 PPM OUTPUT, LOW FCOT
The output speed of the iR4600N system is a productive 46 prints per minute. Trayless duplexing enables rapid two-sided printing at the same engine speed. Fast processing speeds increase overall productivity during printing. While the FCOT (First Copy Out Time) is reduced to a low 3.8 seconds, to speed up production of single copies made from multi-page originals.

COPY JOB RESERVATION
A convenient Copy Job Reservation function allows users to programme up to 5 jobs at a time, when copying. Managing consecutive copy jobs can be set up straight away, without waiting for printing to finish. So there are no more delays and no queues, just pure productivity from start to finish
